Storage for Commercial and Industrial Facilities
Commercial and industrial facilities usually find major benefits from adding storage to solar. In this course, we find out why.
In this course, John Henley unpacks many of the energy issues at a commercial facility. He covers how a business is usually billed for electricity, and talks about why solar - by itself - is not always very effective in reducing electricity costs. He then outlines the most effective ways a Solar+Storage system generates revenue (or at least avoided cost) to the business owner, and compares storage technologies side-by-side. He wraps up the course by talking about real-life projects that have successfully implemented solar and storage for their businesses.
- Understand how a commercial facility is billed for electricity
- Be able to explain the common ways solar & storage can save a company money
- List the available incentives that reduce installation cost
- Explain the pros and cons of different storage types
This course earns you 1 credit toward your NABCEP continuing education requirements for Job Task Analysis (JTA) & RE Elective.
John is one of the pillars for SepiAcademy. He is the primary person responsible for modeling storage projects for commercial, industrial, and utility applications.
